VBS 2012 - Amazing Wonder's Aviation
This year's Amazing Wonder's Aviation VBS Program really lived up to it's name: AMAZING!
Everyone: the kids, the leaders, and even those behind the scenes, all had an incredible week as they took off each day from the Worship Rally Hangar and flew to some of the world's greatest natural wonders and encountered our awesome God and His amazing power!
As a highlight, the kids enjoyed a visit from one of our missionaries, Joe Karabensh from Missionary Flights International, and learned about his involvement in providing transportation back and forth to missionaries that are helping rebuild Haiti. In conjunction with that, as a mission focus, the kids did a penny collection for the rebuilding of a house in Haiti, which typically costs $4,000, and raised just over $1,100, in PENNIES! The kids were also captivated with a daily skit about Captain Jack and his realization of the need to rely on God to overcome the many obstacles, both big and small, that come our way. Delicious snacks, entertaining games, and daily theme-based crafts also helped make this week incredible.
It is always a blessing to be able to witness God at work, especially in our children. Take a look at the pictures and the slideshow below to see what we mean!
